Öffentliche Meinung in Europa zum Euro 2010

The objectives of this survey are to identify and track citizens’ perceptions in non-euro area new Member States (hereafter described as the NMS8), regarding the future introduction of the common currency. The main themes of this report are an examination of: 1. levels of knowledge and experience of the euro among citizens in the NMS8; 2. feelings as to whether these citizens are informed – and their most favoured information channels; 3. NMS8 citizens’ perceptions about the single currency; 4. their expectations and fears concerning the adoption of the euro.
