In 2022, around 3.4 thousand medical tourists from Vietnam visited plastic surgery departments in South Korea, making this the most commonly sought out medical department by Vietnamese medical tourists. This was followed by internal medicine and dental departments. That year, a total of around 248.1 thousand foreigners came to South Korea that year as medical tourists, representing a slight recovery from the previous year.
