In 2022, Portugal was the leading country of destination for plastic waste exports from Spain, with shippings surpassing 18 million U.S. dollars. This was followed by Turkey and Portugal, where plastic waste exports were valued at roughly 15 and 13 million U.S. dollars, respectively.
