Share of children attending secondary education in South Africa 2018, by province
In 2018, attendance of secondary school by children aged 14 to 17 years in South Africa was highest in Limpopo, covering a share of 86.9 percent. KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng followed, at 85.9 and 84.9 percent, respectively. Moreover, Eastern Cape had the lowest share of children in this age group attending a secondary educational institution, at 74.7 percent.
