China: total number of passengers carried by airline group 2022

In 2022, the total number of passengers carried by leading airlines in China dropped to around 250 million. Among the airline groups, China National Aviation Holding Group transported 47.35 million passengers in 2020, representing a significant decline of almost 100 million from pre-pandemic level.
