People with HIV in Brazil 2010-2022
In 2022, approximately 990,000 people were living with HIV in Brazil, up from around 960,000 cases recorded a year earlier. The number of patients with HIV in the South American country increased by approximately 55 percent during the period analyzed. Similarly, an increasing number of Brazilians living with the disease reported receiving antiretroviral therapy, a share estimated at 73 percent in 2021.
