As of 2022, beer consumption accounted for the largest share of the total consumption of alcohol by consumers in the Netherlands. Beer consumption amounted to approximately 3.4 liters of alcohol per capita, while the equivalent of about 2.5 liters of pure alcohol per capita was consumed as wine.
