The value of assets held at banking institutions in Switzerland increased overall between 2002 and 2022, despite some fluctuations. Starting from a value of 1.74 trillion U.S. dollars in 2002, the total assets of Swiss banking corporations peaked at a value of 3.14 trillion U.S. dollars in 2021. In 2022, bank assets decreased slightly, amounting to 3.04 trillion U.S. dollars.
