The total income from admissions of museums sponsored by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) in England rose significantly in 2022/2023 over the previous financial year, following a sharp drop with the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Between April 2022 and March 2023, the Imperial War Museums reported the highest figure among the DCMS-sponsored museums in England, with admissions to those institutions generating roughly 15.3 million British pounds.
