YoY change in video game consoles sales in the United Kingdom (UK) 2023
In 2023, approximately 2.38 million video game consoles were sold in the United Kingdom (UK). The PlayStation 5 was the best-selling console of the year, and increased its sales by 55.2 percent year-over-year. However, the PS4 is the fastest-growing console despite its age - UK consumer purchases of the previous generation console increased by 633 percent year-over-year. The significant increase was due to stock shortages in 2022 which were resolved in 2023.
