External debt stock in Tanzania 2021, by borrower
Tanzania's external debt stock was measured at nearly 26 billion U.S. dollars in August 2021. The central government owed most of the debt, approximately 20.2 billion U.S. dollars. Concurrently, the private sector accumulated 5.7 billion U.S. dollars in external debt.
