In the season 2018/2019, the production value of the Serie A soccer league in Italy amounted to roughly 3.4 billion euros. That was roughly ten times higher than the production value of Serie B, the second highest professional soccer league in Italy. Overall, Serie A registered losses for 275 million euros in the considered season. Similarly, losses of Serie B and Serie C amounted to 45 and 75 million euros, respectively.
