Peru: key figures on Yape 2022
In 2017, Banco de Crédito del Perú launched the digital payments app Yape. By the end of 2022, the Peruvian app had registered over 11 million users and roughly 2.1 million affiliated businesses. Yape had roughly 22,000 new affiliations per day in 2022, with close to 100 million monthly transactions.
