According to Belgian consumer reviews, Colruyt was a stronger supermarket brand in 2020 than discounters Lidl or Aldi. This based on results from a consumer survey that looked at the combined brand strength, a rating that was based on several features like quality, price, the use of promotions, brand familiarity and brand reputation. Delhaize and Albert Heijn completed the top three with 53 and 44 points, respectively. German giants Lidl and Aldi followed closely in fourth and fifth.
