Value added by the pharmaceutical sector in Mexico 2016-2021
The Mexican pharmaceutical manufacturing sector added a gross value of approximately 82.68 billion Mexican pesos to the country's economy in 2021, an increase of about eight percent compared to the previous year, in which the gross value added by this sector amounted to around 76.35 billion Mexican pesos. That year, the market value of the pharmaceutical industry in Mexico reached over seven billion U.S. dollars.
