French opinion on respecting the rules of secularism in schools 2024
The principle of secularism stands as one of France's most important ones. French people are specifically attached to this principle when it comes to schools. Indeed according to a survey conducted in 2024, 76 percent of French respondents believed that zero tolerance should be applied from the very first infringement of secularism at school, meaning automatically punishing, without delay, people who break the rules of secularism.
