Per capita CO₂ emissions in Brazil 2000-2022
Fossil carbon dioxide emissions in Brazil, the largest country in Latin America, amounted to an estimated 2.15 metric tons per capita in 2022, down from 2.34 metric tons in the previous year. The country's per capita CO₂ emissions have been on a mostly downward trend since at least 2015. Brazil's CO₂ emissions per capita rank below those of South American neighbors Argentina and Venezuela.
