Livestock-related methane emissions - from enteric fermentation and manure management combined - in the United States increased by more than five percent between 2010 and 2020. In comparison, emissions in France decreased by six percent during this period. Between 1994 and 2014, livestock-related methane emissions in China increased almost 18 percent, while those in Brazil increased by six percent in the 10-year period to 2016. Of the countries studied, only China is not a Global Methane Pledge signatory.
