Global gold import value 2023, by leading country

In 2023, gold imports to Switzerland were valued at nearly 102.3 billion U.S. dollars, making it the world's leading gold importing nation based on value. 

The leading 15 gold importing countries accounted for 94.9 percent of global gold imports in 2023. The total value of all global import purchases of gold amounted to by leading country 491 billion U.S. dollars that year.
