This statistic illustrates the results of a survey on the reasons why Italian households save their money in 2020. According to the figure, the vast majority of the respondents stated that they save money as a precaution (45 percent). Moreover, almost one in five respondents was saving money for retirement. Furthermore, approximately 17 percent of the households interviewed said that they were saving for their children.
