Canadian film and TV production volume in Canada 2011-2021, by language
From April 1, 2020, to March 31, 2021, the sum of all Canadian movie and television production budgets amounted to approximately 2.75 billion Canadian dollars, of which 848 million dollars (or 31 percent) referred to productions in French. A year earlier, the total figure added up to over 3.12 billion dollars, of which 788 million dollars (or 25 percent) were dedicated to Canadian programs and movies in French. The number of domestic feature films made in Canada decreased by more than 40 percent in the 2020/21 season.
