This statistic shows the results of a survey on the frequency of purchasing products online in Germany from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, roughly 11.7 million people among the German-speaking population aged 14 years and older had completed five to nine online purchases during the previous 12 months.

Information on random sample:
2013: 8,702 respondents, projected base of 70.33 million persons
2014: 8,156 respondents, projected base of 70.52 million persons
2015: 7,009 respondents, projected base of 69.24 million persons
2016: 7,026 respondents, projected base of 69.56 million persons

Information on the target group "German-speaking online buyers":
2013: projected base of 43.95 million persons
2014: projected base of 44.16 million persons
2015: projected base of 45.33 million persons
2016: projected base of 47.01 million persons
