This statistic depicts the distribution of adults engaging with the arts in the last year in England by age, between 2012/13 and 2019/20. Arts engagement refers to attending and/or participating in the arts sector, for example visiting an art gallery or giving a theatre performance. During this whole period, around 73 percent of respondents aged between 16 and 24 years old were engaged with the arts in England.
