Per capita spending on tobacco control versus tax revenue 2009
This statistic shows the worldwide per capita tobacco tax receipts and control spending on tobacco in 2009, with a breakdown by high-, middle- and low-income countries. In that year, an average of 1.36 U.S. dollars per capita was spent in high-income countries on controlling tobacco use, while at the same time almost 168 U.S. dollars of tax revenues were generated per capita.
