In 2022, an estimated 13.5 million tons of reclaimed asphalt pavement had the potential to replace conventional asphalt pavement, with an estimated replacement rate of 26 percent. In comparison, only 1.5 million tons of crushed bricks were forecasted to act as a replacement for conventional bricks.
