Black carbon emissions from transportation in the European Union (EU-28) 2000-2019
Transportation in the European Union emitted 50,270 metric tons of black carbon in 2019. Road transportation was responsible for nearly 90 percent of this total. Transportation accounted for roughly 45 percent of black carbon emissions in the EU in 2000, but by 2019 this share had fallen to 30 percent.
