Consumption of alcohol per capita in Tanzania, by beverage 2010-2019
Alcohol consumption in Tanzania was measured at an average of 7.8 liters of pure alcohol per capita in 2019. Beer was the source of around 0.74 liters of pure alcohol consumed per person in the country, while the demand for spirits resulted in a per capita consumption of 0.38 liters of pure alcohol. Overall, the volume of recorded alcohol consumption in Tanzania increased. For instance, around seven liters of pure alcohol per capita were consumed in the country in 2010.
