Share of philanthropic donations India FY 2020, by sector
In financial year 2020, Indian family philanthropists donated around 40 billion Indian rupees to social and charitable organizations. The vast majority of nearly 50 percent of theses donations went into the education sector. Around 30 percent were donated to the healthcare sector.
