During a survey fielded in Chile in the third quarter of 2020, around 12 percent of online purchases reported by the responding internet users were considered by the source as informal shopping on Chilean websites. The share of informal shopping on foreign e-commerce platforms in Chile amounted to 11 percent in the same period.
