Dominican Republic: most popular travel destinations 2019, by location type
Over 67 percent of Dominicans do not have a special inclination for domestic over international destinations, or vice versa, according to a 2019 survey. On the other hand, 13.5 percent of respondents in the Dominican Republic would prefer to travel abroad for holidays. That same year, around 532 thousand Dominican nationals visited other countries by air.
