As of April 2020, there were a significant share of healthcare professionals working with limited availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) in the UK during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. 27 percent of healthcare workers surveyed reported that PPE was not very available in their place of work, with a further 8 percent saying PPE was not available at all.
