In 2019, it was found that 28 percent of mental health patients in England stated that the care plan provided to them after they left the service met all their needs, while 11 percent felt the aftercare plan failed to address any of their needs. Although 37 percent of patients reported that they did not receive any care plan after leaving NHS mental health services.
