In 2017, medical cannabis was legalized in Germany, and physicians in the country are able to prescribe medical cannabis for their patients. In 2020, Dronabinol accounted for 64 percent of the medical cannabis product market in Germany. Dronabinol is mostly used to treat the effects caused by cancer chemotherapy.
