Printed newspaper consumption daily in Norway 2018-2019, by family type
The share of the Norwegian population who read printed newspapers on an average day decreased for almost all family types between 2018 and 2019. In 2019, individuals aged nine to 24 years living with parents read the newspapers least, closely followed by nine to 44-year-old singles and couples aged 16 to 44 years without children, at 13 percent each. Couples between 45 and 79 years without children recorded the highest share of individuals who read printed newspapers on an average day, at 57 percent.
