Public opinion on Dodd-Frank Act U.S. 2020
In an August 2020 survey, 81 percent of likely voters said they supported the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which was signed into law in 2010. This legislation imposed oversight regulations on the financial services industry in response to the Great Recession, which many experts attributed to the absence of such regulations.
