Common bully behavior among high school students in Japan AY 2022
High schools in Japan reported around 15.6 thousand incidents of bullying behavior among the student body in the academic year 2022, of which the majority of cases, over 59 percent, involved verbal abuse like threats and insults. Following the enactment of the anti-bullying legislation in 2013, the government required schools to implement measures to identify bullying at an early stage and report even small cases like teasing.
