YoY change in number of buses registered in Delhi 1989-2022
In 2022, over 16 thousand buses less than the previous year were registered in Delhi, India. This took the total number of buses in the nation's capital to over 17 thousand. The increase in the number of vehicles on the streets of Delhi played a major role in establishing it as one of the most polluted cities in the world.
