According to a survey on Indonesian consumers in 2019, households earning between 7.5 to ten million rupiah preferred foreign brands of audio and video electronic products. According to the same survey, an increase in monthly income correlates with an increased preference for foreign products, especially for alcoholic beverages, clothing and footwear, and cosmetics and beauty care products.
