The cost of tickets purchased through the rewards program of major airlines in the United States has fallen, with the biggest decline being for Alaska Airlines, who saw the average cost of a rewards ticket fall from 23,429 miles in 2014 to 17,000 miles in 2019. The cost of a JetBlue ticket fell the least over this period, dropping from 17,626 points to 16,708 points.
