Highest score in test cricket by player 2024
As of April 2024, the cricket player who held the record for the highest individual score in international test match cricket was Brian Lara of the West Indies. The legendary batsman scored a record-breaking 400 not out against England in 2004.
The Ashes
One of the most famous test match cricket tournaments within the international cricket calendar is the Ashes - an international series played at least once every two years between England and Australia. The series is traditionally composed of five test matches and has taken place between the two nations since 1882, with the Australian team having won the series a total of 34 times within this period, slightly ahead of England’s 32 series titles.
Women’s cricket
Although most of the attention in international cricket is directed towards the men’s game, there is a growing international community of female cricket. While the number of female international Test match tournaments remains limited, international tournaments featuring ODI and T20 games are becoming increasingly commonplace, with Australia sitting comfortably at the top of the ICC rankings for both ODI and T20 as of April 2024.
