U.S. operative battery storage capacity 2022, by leading state
California was the leading state in terms of operative large-scale battery storage in the United States, with a capacity of almost 4.9 gigawatts. The state accounted for more than half the battery storage of the country that year. Texas followed, with two gigawatts of battery storage operable at the time.
