The total revenue of the performing arts industry in the Netherlands was significantly lower in 2020 and 2021 compared to the previous years due to the impact of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. While public-related income peaked at nearly 338 million euros in 2019, it totaled around 85 million euros in 2021. That year, this industry's total revenue amounted to roughly 147.7 million euros, dropping by 72.5 percent compared to 2019.
