Great Britain and the United States were the leading inbound tourism markets in Ireland in 2019. That year, the number of British tourists visiting the country reached around 3.5 million, increasing by 0.2 percent over 2018. In contrast, the number of U.S. travelers in Ireland dropped by 3.8 percent over the same period. In 2019, Germany, France, and Spain followed on the ranking.
