According to a survey conducted in April 2022 in Japan, purchasing retort food was a habit commonly found among older aged consumers. While 46 percent of respondents in their twenties stated to buy convenience food in retort pouch packaging, the share of old people aged 60 to 69 years responding in the affirmative stood at 67 percent.
