In 2021, advertising expenditure in Western Europe recovered from the significant decrease across the board in 2020, as the industry was hit hard by the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Although the cinema advertising spend suffered the most, with a 77.6 percent decrease in 2020, it bounced back with the greatest percentage growth in 2021, rising by 46.4 percent.
