Car theft rate in Italy 2022, by province
In 2022, the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, in Apulia, recorded the highest car theft rate in Italy, with more than 1,000 cases per 100,000 residents. Foggia, located in the same region, followed with around 630 felonies. Besides Milan and Turin, all other provinces in are located in the southern regions of the country. The three most frequently stolen car models were produced by FIAT.
