Printed newspaper consumption daily in Norway 2018-2021, by region
The share of the Norwegian population who read printed newspapers on an average day decreased in most regions between 2018 and 2021. The region with the lowest newspaper reach was Southern Norway, with just 17 percent of people in 2021 reading the printed press, a loss of five percent to the previous year. The highest newspapers reaches could be found in Eastern Norway (30 percent) and the region of Oslo (24 percent), while Eastern Norway was the only region where the share of daily newspaper readers did not decrease compared to 2020.
