Greater energy effiency will almost certainly be an important component in comprehensive national-and-global-strategies for managing energy ressources and climate change in the future. For this reason, we launched an effort 2008 to investigate opportunities for greater effiency in the stationary ususes of energy in tehe U.S. economy. This research confirms what many others have found- that the opportunity is significant.
